food trip - BIZU

A few weeks ago, I requested an Expectations Setting Meeting with my team lead. Last Thursday I received an invitation from her through my Outlook.

Time: 1:00 PM

I'm not adventurous when it comes to eating out. Well I am, a bit, but I'm more on the practical side. I would always go for quantity and value for money. I was quite hesitant. But, what the heck, it was Mia who invited me so I know the food there must be really good.

I got there a few minutes ahead of my team lead so I was able to scout the place and food before the meeting began. The first thing I noticed were the colors of the place. Everything was either in the shade of purple, pink, yellow or gold. I liked it. The place was so relaxing and a perfect place have long talks. Di kasi nakakasawa tingnan yung place. You will not feel uneasy. Everything was so relaxed.

Anyway, when my team lead arrived we decided to order and start the meeting. I ordered for Samba while she ordered for the Holiday cake. Samba has layers of chocolate mousse and chocolate cake. It is covered with rich chocolate icing and a bit of caramel syrup. It also has some pieces of decorated chocolate plates. Sounds simple and regular diba? But when you see the presentation and you have your first bite. Grabe ang sarap! I never thought I will be able to finish the whole thing but I did.

About the price, I know it would be difficult for some to shell out Php 185 for a piece of cake. But believe me it's all worth it.

Thanks to Mia I'm now learning to have a different appreciation for food. I learned from this experience that food does not have to be a whole heap to be enjoyable. So I guess you would be seeing more of me in Bizu. I'm looking forward to tasting all their cakes. I hope you are too. Just don't forget to run that extra mile or take the stairs instead of the elevator when in the office. I'm sure you know why. =P

Oh,I would also like to mention the Macaron de Paris and how yummy it is. Hay sa wakas nakapag blog na rin! Grabe ang tagal tagal ko ng di nag blog. It's not that I had some sooo important events to tell. Inaatake lang ako ng aking pagka OC. Grabe a month! Ibang klase. I don't know now how to summarize what happened in that whole month na di ako naka blog. Ahhh alam ko na!

Why weren't you able to blog?

Hay! It's as simple as bumigay na ang monitor namin. Kainis nga eh. So ayun asa shop siya ngayon for repair. My pc kasi comes in a set. Hp siya and as far as I know ang Hp they don't sell na monitor lang or CPU lang. Plus I like my monitor it has a built in mic and speakers na. Kaya ayun it's under repair na for 3 weeks now.

Eh if your monitor is being repaired, ano ginagamit mo ngayon?

Ahhhh my oh so sweet bf lent it to us. He bought a new set na kasi and this monitor was from his old set. It's a Sun microsystems monitor na he got from his last job.

Under repair ang monitor for 3 weeks, eh you haven't been blogging for a month already, hmm...

Good question! Ang smart mo ha! Parang ako =P Hmm wala lang. Tinatamad. I was on a one week VL (vacation leave) pa that time ha. If only I knew that this is going to happen, I would've blogged every single day of that week.

So ano na kuwento? What happened in that one whole month?

Wala! Nothing important really. Small updates na lang like before. I'm really having hard time organizing my thoughts now. Kalat kalat grabe!

Updates from my Analytics training. My instructor, Paolo, turned out to be Portugese. He's just assigned in London now. Which explains why I didn't have a hard time understanding him. Wala kasing trace of any British accent. Sayang I didn't had the guts to ask for a group picture.

There was this perfume sale in RCBC. I bought 4 bottles of perfume in 2 days. If you really know me di ka magugulat. I love perfumes. Actually, even colognes. Basta weakness ko ang mga unique scents. I bought D&G light blue (100ml), Bulgari (100ml), Lanvin Eclat (100 ml) and Sander for men (100 ml). Hay grabe you should've seen me while I was at the store. I was like a child entering Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory! It felt like heaven. I used my credit card kasi eh. Pagdating ng bills I'm sure iba na ang feeling ko. Di ko pa rin nabili yung Lacoste Gold. I was torn between that and Lanvin kasi eh. I chose Lanvin na lang coz it's kinda unique. Konti lang ang may alam. Plus I saw sa Rustans na a 50 ml bottle of it costs Php3800! Hay believe me I bought it much cheaper than that at 100 ml pa ha!

After seeing the bottles, I felt happy but at the same time a little guilty. Grabe super dami. I promised myself na I wouldn't buy any perfume na muna till next year or hangga't maubos 'to. Tsk tsk tsk.

Food trip kami lately ng Siebelles. We've been using our team building funds sa pagkain kung saan saan. Even yung banana que sa Gabriella Parking and fish balls sa Ayala Ave eh pinatulan namin. Fun fun fun. Good food and nice conversation with the best team ever! I am so blessed to be part of this group.

We went to EK last Saturday (11.26.05). Team building ng TMS (project ni Chuck). Wala lang. Fun! Thank you sa pagsama sa akin sa budget.

Usual PCOMM night. I was no able to join the call. It turned out Avaya could not patch in too many people. tsk tsk tsk! Paano na pag 10 pm na ang call =(

Ay and something happened that unfortunately I can't tell here. Sayang! It's just a simple story reminding us how small our world is and to be very careful when you're telling stories to your friends in public.

I have a new cell group na! =) I don't know why I'm so excited about this. Pero wala lang. I really cannot explain why I'm so excited and giddy about this. Maybe because I really miss my old cell group. Though half of us are with this new group, I still can't help but miss the ol' gang. 'Hope this new group will be just as fun.

I had my annual review lunch today. I still have to schedule the actual review next week. Pero that's not my kuwento. We had lunch at Circles in Makati Shang. Panalo!!! I love the Japanese and Asian buffet. And the desserts... ay panalo talaga! =)

Team building night with the whole DBSi team. Ang dami namin!!! 20+!!!The Siebelles saw Wallace and Gromit while the others watched Deuce Bigalow. We ended the night with a dinner at Masa's. Food day grabe!

Date night! =) Nothing special. We just strolled sa shang then ate dinner at Milky Way.

Grenhills greenhills! I love Greenhills! Hehe! Ang bango talaga ng Lacoste Gold!!! Hmmm... D&G Light Blue or Lacoste Gold??? Ehem ehem! =p

10.16 sunday

We had lunch at Dampa in Libis to celebrate my Lola's 78th birthday. Yummy! Then my boyfriend and I saw Lord of War in eastwood (pangit!). I really felt bad after seeing it. I felt sick and tired. This is why I love watching feel good movies kasi I watch movies to be entertained and not to feel bad after. Anyway, we had a nice dinner naman at Jack's Loft kaya bawi na. I really love their desserts. AND, we bought tickets for Eastwood's World's Largest Buffet on the 22nd. I can't wait!!! =)

I'll be in my Analytics training this week so I guess this week will be more boring. Not! My instructor is a cute guy from UK. Panalo! haha! Joke lang. He's really not the to-die-for type of cute. He's young and really nice kasi. Basta iba lang. Very different from other trainings I've attended. Except for my java training of course! =P

birthday parties

Oh I just remebered, something nice pala happened last week. Last Sept. 25 and Oct. 1 we surprised two of my teamates who celebrated their birthdays. As usual the Siebelles set yet another benchmark in celebrating birthdays within the project. I know it's something other people do in other projects pero well it's a first for ours. I guess. Hehe!

Anyway, since Popee was in training for two weeks and the day of her birthday falls on a Sunday we just surprised her the following Monday by decorating her workstation with balloons and confetti. She was so shocked when she saw her workstation when she came back at the office after training. It was so colorful kasi! We used peach and pink crepe papers in decorating her workstation. We also had a cake near her PC. I'm really not good in elaborating things so I'll just let you see the pictures. We ended the day with a team dinner at A Veneto in Glorietta.

For Pola's birthday which fell on a Saturday, we gave her a surprise also on the following Monday na. And since she's aware of the workstation decoration project na eh we thought of something else aside from it. She did not win Ms. CAT for nothing kaya we made sure that the celebration will be really grand. So aside from the workstation deco we made a big message board where everyone from the project can write their birthday messages for her. Mia also bought a boquet of flowers to add as decoration for the workstation. That afternoon we prepared a simple mirienda for our friends. I'm really not good in writing or on elaborating things. I think it's better if you'll just check out the pictures.=)

I am really enjoying the company of my new team. I'm loving my work more now. =)

I just want to share my new LSS... si Liza kasi eh! Hay mahirap ang LDR (Long Distance Relationship). I've tried it for 2 months and it was soooo sad.... and magastos! Which is bad ha! Well, I've accepted the fact na rin naman na those 2 months will not be the last for me and Chuck given the nature of our job. Lalo na siya. Pero the good thing about it was we came out of it stronger. We now appreciate every minute we have together.
