my new best friend

SKYPE is my new best friend. And I guess it will be for the next two months. It's what's been keeping me sane these past few days. As I've said from my previous post, my boyfriend is currently assigned in Chicago. If not for Skype I'm probably spending 500 pesos a day for overseas calls, just like what happened on my first weekend without him. I am so not used to this LDR thing. I am missing him terribly. But now, thanks to skype, I can hear his voice everyday for free! Without any hidden charges. It's almost as good as an overseas call. It depends on the time of the day though. It's like he's just beside me. We were both so hapy and relieved when we tried it. Thanks Sis and Alfie! Buti na lang I have friends who are experts in LDR. Hehe! It may not take away the sadness I feel, but at least I've stopped crying. And I promise I'll try not to for the next two months.
48 na tulog na lang... August 26 na! my baby's coming home soon!

parting is such sweet sorrow

My boyfriend left for Chicago today. He'll be working there for the next two months. Yeah two months of agony for me. I just realized this morning that the longest time we were apart for the last nine months that we've been together was for only 2 days. You may think that I'm exaggerating when I used the term "agony". It's okay. Maybe nga I really am. I mean compared to my sisterette who has a boyfriend living in LA.
Today, I think it's safe to assume that I am not the type of person who can handle long distance relationships. It's not for me. Or maybe it is. We will see in the next two months.

team building

We had our super nakakabusog team building lunch at North Park yesterday. It was a day to reserve all diets muna kasi sayang naman ang food. No matter how small the fund is we still had fun. Unfortunately, the MSG made us all sleepy when we came back to the office. Lesson learned: Don't forget to request the waiter not to put msg on your ordered food specially when eating in a chinese restaurant.

just like the 'ol days

Last night I was out with my cousin and her friends for an all-girls Saturday night gimik. I cannot remember the last time I went out for a Saturday night gimik. Well I do go out on Saturday nights but I'm usually with my boyfriend and you would probably catch us in Powerplant or Eastwood eating, window shopping or watching a movie. Anyway, the night started early at 6pm. Way too early for a Saturday night out. We all met at TOSH in Katipunan for a quick dinner. I was so problematic at that time kasi I was not "geared" for a gimik. Hay nakalimutan ko na ata gumimik and my closet ran out of "gimik clothes". I was so bothered na I'm wearing mall clothes. Ang arte noh? Since we had to pick up someone pa and she's not yet ready we decided to pass by some place where I can buy new clothes. I don't want to say where it is 'cause it's a secret haven for all of us shopping fanatics. (super mura kasi and baka if malaman niyo pare-pareho na tayo ng suot!) I bought a denim mini skirt and a nice dainty top for only... 450 pesos! Hay it felt so good wearing cheap clothes that look good. I was not wearing a gimik outfit pa rin but it was better than what I was wearing before that. Plus it's a good buy. We left the place at around 8:30 to fetch their other friend who is a co-teacher from ateneo. That's another special thing about this gimik. I was out with grade school teachers from ateneo and miriam. Haha! All night I cannot let go of the fact that they're all teachers. Paano naman para silang mga schizo may drastic change of image at night. Anyway, we proceeded to our next stop that night.
We went to see Fete de la Musique at ortigas. Woohoo! Grabe, ang fun! Hehe! Sorry ha but believe it or not it was my first time to attend it. We wanted to see Hale perform kasi kaya lang they would be perfoming at a later time pa so we decided to leave na. But what made it more fun was I saw some people I knew from way way back. I saw some friends from grade school, high school and college. Everyone was there. Sabi nga namin "all ages, all breeds". We left at around 11:00 pm and went to Bellissima at the Fort. We had some nachos and drinks and we left at around 1:00 am. Yeah I know it was still early but we were all unusually sleepy at that time so we decided to call it a night.
Ayun, that was my Saturday night gimik. Just like the good 'ol days. It was nice to experience it again. But I still won't replace my "gimiks" with Chuck. (naks!)

cafe bola

Yey! I have a picture na at Cafe Bola!!! Nice background noh?

just another day

Yes it's just any other day. I really don't have anything new to say. I'm just too bored and sleepy to work. Friday mode na kasi eh. Plus. I'm bothered with my template. Haha! Arte eh noh? I've been trying to modify it na kasi for the past few days eh pero ang hirap =<
And oh the work in progress title is not because of my template. I'm talking about myself. Next time na explanation.

Yahoo!

Hay finally I was able to solve na this thing for work. Gosh I’ve been working on it na for the past few weeks and I’ve been charging the client a lot! Well that’s what you get with not enough training to back you up.

Good thing I resolved it na because I’m super excited to go home today. I’m going out with two of my bestest friends in the whole wide world! We’ll have dinner at “Bahay ni Juan” in Kapitolyo. The place is near Mailee’s house and it is super near to where my boyfriend attends his jui jitsu training so it is super convenient. Hmm I just realized it’s almost a year since I’ve been to this place. The last time was April of last year when we celebrated Mailee’s birthday there. It was fun. I was young , crazy and single back then. Don’t forget drunk. I miss the place. We discovered it when we went to Boracay last year. We met the owner there and found a new place to hang out here in Manila. I’m hoping to see our friends there and reminisce on those cherished moments in Boracay.

Int'l. Women's Day

Yesterday was fun. I attended Accenture's celebration of Int'l. Women's Day. We had some guest speakers, free food and some other free stuff. One guest speaker talked about breast cancer and another on how to be a successful creative woman. Thus, the reason why I'm starting to blog again. I learned that we shouldn't equate creativity with talent. It is a skill that can be developed given the right amount of passion and dedication. And, as a woman I should not be guilty to give myself a few minutes of my time each day for this. I remembered how I used to love writing. I would sleep late at night and pour out my emotions by writing or blogging. I realized that I have the resources so why not take advantage of it.
So there, I promise to blog now as often as I can. This is not just an outlet for me share my thoughts but also to practice my writing skills. As you can see I’m starting to lose it already. Hehe. Feel free to comment on my journals even correct my grammar. For me there are no rooms for mistake only lessons learned. = p
